#  ESTR Update Completed Friday, December 15

 The upgrade scheduled to occur from Friday, December 15 at 6:00 pm ET until Saturday, December 16 at 6:00 pm ET has been completed.

Along with the above-linked details, it is important to note that this release includes support for two major regulatory changes:

1. [Final NIH Policy on the Use of a Single Institutional Review Board for Multi-Site Research](https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-16-094.html); and
2. [Final Revisions to the Common Rule](https://www.hhs.gov/ohrp/regulations-and-policy/regulations/finalized-revisions-common-rule/index.html) (on January 19 2018, the IRB will enable control over when the new Common Rule applied in the review of research.)
